Colbún has 852 km. of single and double-circuit transmission lines and 26 substations. These lines enable us to carry the production from our power plants to the points of injection into the Central Interconnected System (SIC) as well as to draw electric power from the SIC for its transportation to the consumption points of our customers. As defined by the Electricity Law, all of Colbún’s lines belong to the Additional Transmission System, with the exception of 68 km. of 110 kV lines, which were classified by the supreme decree in force as belonging to the Sub-transmission System, and other facilities which qualify as trunk.
