Our Board of Directors

Colbún’s Board of Directors is the highest governing entity of Corporate Governance. It is made up of nine members, who do not hold executive positions, can be re-elected indefinitely (except for Directors representing AFPs) and may or may not be shareholders.

The Board holds regular monthly meetings to address all relevant matters relating to the Company’s performance and operation. This body validates Corporate Management’s Objectives, including financial results, social and environmental management, occupational safety, work environment and growth, among others.

Born in 1963. He is an Industrial Civil Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of California (UCLA). He started his career at Empresas CMPC (Materials) when he joined the Studies Management in 1987 where he participated in projects such as Pacific Cellulose and the purchase of Star Chemical and Tissue Product Plant. Later, he took over from Cristián Eyzaguirre in Finance Management. Between 2004 and 2011 he served as General Manager of Forestal Mininco (Materials) and then CMPC (Materials). After 31 years of service, on July 31, 2018 he left his position at CMPC and, as of August of the same year, he joined Colbún as director.

Born in 1966. He is a Business Administrator from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, obtained an Msc in Finance from the London School of Economics and a Master of Business Administration at Stanford University. He began working at Colbún (Energy)  as CEO in 2005, and from April 2012 to May 2017, he served as President of the Colbún Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Minera Valparaíso S.A. (Financial). From 2017 to 2021 he served as president of SOFOFA.

She was born in 1955. She is a Business Administrator from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the American University in the USA. She has been a Director of Colbún since 2012, member of the Council for Transparency since 2011, Director of Antofagasta Minerals (Materials) and CMPC (Materials). She previously served as Minister of National Defense, Executive Secretary of the National Energy Commission and Executive Director of the National Environmental Commission. She was also Member of the Board of Directors of Universidad de Santiago (Consumer Discretionary) and Banco del Estado (Financial), and Director of EMOS (Utilities).

She was born in 1967. She is a Civil Engineer and holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad de Concepción, with more than 20 years of experience in issues related to sustainability, innovation, and technology transfer. Previously, she worked as Technological Capabilities Manager at CORFO and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the public water company Econssa (Utilities), Corporate Sustainability Manager for AngloAmerican (Materials) and Vice President of the Water Resources Commission of the Mining Council, and Environment and Energy Manager at Fundación Chile. She is currently Director of the Santiago Campus of University of Concepción and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lota-Arauco Technical Training Center. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of CENS, ITREND and Minnovex, of the Consultative Council of INRIA-Chile and of the Chile-California Council and Director of Espacio Público.

He was born in 1971. He is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the Catholic University of Chile, MBA from Michigan Ross and has studies in executive education at Harvard and Stanford. Previously, he worked as Partner of McKinsey & Company, CEO of the South America and Caribbean division of LATAM Airlines Group (Industrials) and CEO of Inmobiliaria Aconcagua (Real Estate). He has been Chairman, member or advisor of board of directors in Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and the USA.

Industrial Civil Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with a mention in mechanics. He has more than thirty-six years of work experience. In 1990 he started working at Arauco; first at Forestal Arauco S.A., then at Paneles Arauco S.A. and from 2008 to September 2023 he served as Vice President of Celulosa Arauco y Consitución S.A.. In addition, he was Director of Abastible S.A. for a period of 10 years.

Born in 1982. He is a Business Administrator from the University of Los Andes and obtained an MBA from the University of Berkeley, Haas. He worked in the Santander lnvestment Corporate Finance team, he was Manager of Development of Ports and Logistics S.A. (Industrials) and Executive Director of Inversiones de Inversiones Portoseguro SpA. He was Director of Compañía Industrial El Volcán S.A., and of Puertos y Logística S.A. Additionally, since 2016 he has served as Director at BICECORP S.A. (Financial), Banco Bice S.A. (Financial) and BICE Vida Compañía de Seguros S.A. (Financial).

He was born in 1962. He is an Industrial Civil Engineer with a major in Chemistry from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has a 25 years’ experience as CEO of important companies in the energy and industrial sector. Between 1985 and 1995 he was Project Engineer, Operations Manager, and Development and Planning Manager at the company Indura. Then, between 1995 and 1996, he was the Commercial and Operations Manager of EDEGEL (electricity generation company in Peru). In 1997 and 2001 he was the CEO of Electroandina S.A. (today Engie). From 2001 to 2007, he was CEO of Siemens S.A. Finally, between 2007 and 2022, he was CEO of Transelec S.A.
