The University of Chile School of Law invites law, engineering, economics, and other related majors to apply, on behalf of their universities, for the First International Energy Moot 2026. Applications are open until May 11.
Together with the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de Chile, we are looking for students to represent the institution at the Energy Moot Court 2026, an international academic competition in energy law litigation.
The Center for Regulation and Competition (RegCom) of the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de Chile has opened its application process to form the team that will participate in the International Energy Moot 2026, an international academic competition focused on the study of energy law and dispute resolution in this sector.
The initiative is led by Professor Catalina Medel, Director of RegCom, and takes place within the framework of the Energy Litigation Moot Court Seminar, where selected students will work on resolving a fictional case related to energy regulation, developing skills in litigation, legal argumentation, and regulatory analysis.
The International Energy Moot brings together students from different universities and countries, with the goal of fostering the practical application of legal sciences in a simulated litigation environment, honing key competencies such as research, legal writing, and oral argumentation.
Applications are open until May 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., and registration is available exclusively through the form linked in RegCom's profile.
